The Arenal Volcano is active since 1968, it constantly ejects gases, water, fumaroles and explosions with pyroclastic material emissions, and sometimes the eruptions are accompanied with powerful thunders. The biggest and heaviest material falls close to the crater. As the lava flows down it slowly cools off. A short hike in one of the trails close to the volcano area will give us the chance to enjoy some forest and the activity around it.
At Baldi Hot Springs you will enjoy a healthy and relaxing soak. This tour includes: transportation, naturalistic guide, park & hot springs entrance fee and dinner.
What to bring: long pants, light sweater, hiking shoes, camera, binoculars, sun lotion, repellent and raincoat.
The Sky Trek Canopy Tour starts with the Sky Tram to reach the top of the Arenal reserve, then begins a tour of adventure full of adrenaline above the treetops, which consists on a system of zip lines, that allows you to observe the rainforest and its landscape from a different perspective, safely in an innovative and different system.
The tour includes 8 cross-sectional cables that together have a total length of 1.7 miles with distances from 100 to 2460 feet, and with a maximum height of 660 feet, which exceed the treetops providing a panoramic view of the Arenal volcano and lake. DAY #4: Private Transfer: Arenal to Tamarindo (3 hours)

Departing every afternoon at 1:30 pm from Tamarindo bay, the sunset cruise sails north past Playa Grande, Bahia De Los Pirates, Playa Conchal and Flamingo. Drop anchor and snorkel in a calm bay with clear water. Search the rock reefs for eels, octopus, puffer fish, rays or any of the other hundreds of fish species found off the coast of Costa Rica. Paddle through the offshore caves and then to shore on one of the two, two man kayaks. When returning to the Marlin del Rey, the staff will prepare your drink of choice and a wide range of appetizers prepared while you were enjoying the Costa Rican coastline. Pull anchor and set sail for Tamarindo. Enjoy a picturesque sunset with nothing more than the wind whistling through your hair and your family by your side.
This tour takes you up the Tamarindo Estuary. Sit back, relax and enjoy the calm waters while the captain and guide explain the fantastic mysteries of this aquatic wonderland. You will have many excellent opportunities to view and photograph the great herons, egrets, kingfisher, ibis, osprey and iguanas, caiman, howler monkeys and much, much more.
DAY #8: Private Transfer- Tamarindo to LIR Airport (1 hour)
