Game fishing in Costa Rica has a justifiably outstanding reputation. Offshore fishing out of the Tamarindo/ Flamingo region is rich in Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo and Dorado. It is known be to be the magnificent Blue Marlin catch and release area, that international sport anglers have long associated with in Costa Rica.
CC Vacation Services charters boat trips off-shore, with local and very knowledgeable captains, providing some of the best deep sea fishing opportunities in the region. Anglers can also do some fishing closer to shore. In-shore fishing in Tamarindo often land Roosterfish, Bonito and/ or a giant Cubera Snapper.
Many of our visiting customers enjoy a mixed package, where they can do some deep sea fishing in the morning, and then later in the afternoon get inshore to enjoy fly fishing, which usually has the most active opportunities.
