THE BEST GOLF IN THE REGION:                                                                            a).  Hacienda Pinilla (15 minutes south of Tamarindo)                                                             An excellent golf course virtually “in your backyard” completes the exclusive atmosphere for lovers of this sport. This is a true, 6,800-meter masterpiece by Mike Young, who has designed some of the finest golf courses in the southern United States. His characteristic emphasis on detail led him to build a course where each hole was designed to conform to the slopes and contours of the natural landscape of Hacienda Pinilla. The frequent risk/reward situations offer different challenges every time you play and the trees, apart from offering refreshing breaks, also represent natural obstacles.

b). The Westin (15 minutes north of Tamarindo)                                                                  Enjoy the thrill and convenience of world-class golf at the Reserva Conchal Golf Club. The Reserva Conchal Golf Course is a truly memorable golfing experience, designed in the classic tradition of the game by Robert Trent Jones II. Each nine meanders through the rolling terrain,  with breath-taking ocean views. This 71-par championship course provides players with both a challenging and an extraordinary eco-golf experience. Lakes and ravines accentuate the course and put a premium on tee shots and accurate approach shots to large, manicured Bermuda-grass greens.
