                                                                                                                                                                                   What is a zip line canopy tour in Costa Rica?                                                  Essentially a zip line canopy tour is a system of zip lines (cables) attached to trees high up in the Costa Rican rainforest that offers visitors the exciting opportunity to observe, and appreciate tropical vegetation from different vantage points, high above the canopy. Not only are you observing the Costa Rican rainforest from a vantage point high up, you are also traveling from tree to tree on a zip line! The views are great, but the adrenaline rush comes from zipping from tree to tree on a line is even better!   

Zip line (canopy) tours are available in many different parts of Costa Rica. Popular areas to go zip lining include areas around Playa Tamarindo, Monteverde, and Manuel Antonio. While the zip line (tours) are similar in each of these areas of Costa Rica, the type of rainforest and the birds and animals in each region are very different!
